Whalebone is looking for a part-time sales associate to sling words at the Library on Bleecker Street presented by Caddis x Whalebone, a retail pop-up and event space. (You likely know Whalebone and this is a little bit about Caddis.) During your time at our cozy little spot on Bleeker, you’ll be supporting the Store Manager by creating an awesome, unique and page-turning experience for customers while communicating Whalebone and Caddis’s stories in a fun and friendly way.
Location: West Village, NYC. You’d assume Bleecker Street and you would not be wrong.
Dates: Jan 15th–March 15th
What to Expect
- Reading
- Providing customers with an awesome in-store experience
- Educating customers about products and brand stories
- A dog-friendly environment
- Restocking and merchandising the store to always showcase the product and brands in the best way possible
- Ensure the store is neat and tidy at all times
- Intense games of pool (nine-ball experience preferred but not required)
Qualifications
- Has many leather-bound books or not
- 1–3 years in customer service and retail store experience
- Passion for Whalebone x Caddis that comes through in creating a best-in-class customer experience
- An apartment that smells of rich mahogany (optional but a plus)
- Knows the correct spelling of Bleecker
- Has glasses or will be willing to wear
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexible schedule
