What can we tell you about The Whalebone Magazine Three-Year-Anniversary Land Voyage at Gurney’s Montauk Yacht Club that has not already been said? Perhaps we actually really haven’t mentioned it here, so plenty. A few hundred of our closest friends obviously added to our Montauk Brew Co. can tally, but maybe at this point, let’s just stop keeping count. Joining Montauk Brew Co. in the YETI cooler were some pretty delicious canned cocktails from our Finnish friends at Long Drink. Those not into canned beverages (and we don’t know who you are) enjoyed The Palm Rosé by Whispering Angel. And those who were looking for less intoxicating alternatives had Health-Ade Kombucha and the electrolyte-enhanced DrinkBryte (which helps make things a little gentler the next morning too).
Early on in the evening, the softest goods from Whalebone sat comfortably among the softest goods from Gurney’s. If you rubbed these shirts against one another you’d cause some sort of rift in the softness-time-continuum, so we were very careful. A brass band welcomed people aboard, DJ Japancakes spun flapjacks all night, somewhere in there was even time for a basketball game and Starr sang “Happy Birthday” to us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
