Sunny Garcia Benefit July 14 at Gurney’s Montauk
We’re all pulling for Sunny Garcia. “Of course I am,” you say. “But,” you ask, “I’m in Montauk—what can I do besides send positive vibes?” We are glad you asked, and that’s a good start. A second thing you can do is attend the Benefit for Sunny event on July 14 at 6 p.m. at Gurney’s in Montauk. It’ll be a fun one, too, and all the proceeds go to benefit the Sunny Garcia Family.
What’s in store? A kickoff with live music, drinks and such at 6 p.m. will be followed by a screening of “One Track Mind,” a film by Chris Malloy featuring Sunny, Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Dane Reynolds, Tom Curren, Jordy Smith, Kalohe Andino, Julian Wilson, Mark Occhilupo, Wayne Bartholomew and other surfers.
The whole shebang benefits Sunny, but the silent auction is another to support the family. There will be lots of unique items on which to bid from friends like Jack Johnson, Chris Malloy, Cynthia Rowley, Taylor Slater (a quite talented photographer as you can see here), and John John Florence.
