While we wish this post was announcing another trip for you and 150 of your closest friends to head back to Stratton for a weekend of snurfing, DJ battles at Grizzly’s, and snow conditions to make even Coloradans jealous, it is not. But we do have good news regarding Whalebone + Stratton—and it’s not limited to a single two-day weekend.
From March 1st through the 26th, Whalebone will be opening a Winter Pop-Up in Stratton Village—selling all of the goods you know and love along with a few things from our friends such as Wyeth, FIN Montauk and Ice Cream Headaches.
Our lawyers have advised us against giving away Duraflame logs with each purchase, but our Department of Fun has advised on the popularity of impromptu bonfire parties so, as always, we make no promises and it will be a game-time decision.
We should also mention that the Vermont Open is the weekend of March 10th, and we know you’ve been itching for one more reason to escape to the mountains for a few final runs of the season on those new sticks you got for Christmas. Need more motivation? We bet Shaun White wouldn’t miss one last powder day. Just sayin’.
The shop will be in the heart of the Stratton village at 2 Village Lodge Road, directly across from The Market and Deli. Every purchase comes with a free high five, a game of fetch with the Whalebone resident mutt, and the first customer each day will receive a beer on Kilcullen at 802 (apple Ciroc sold separately).
The shop will be open daily from 10am to 7pm, and always be sure keep an eye on @whalebonemagazine for daily events, contests, and just because you probably should anyway.
