Our good friends and consistent travel companions over at Hampton Jitney are expanding their services this winter with a special service to Stratton Vermont, to satisfy your powder needs this winter.
Partnering with our friends to the north, Stratton, starting this January, the Ambassador Coach will have a Manhattan to Stratton leg leaving each Friday, and returning Sunday evening, complete with made in Vermont snacks and enough space to bring that extra pair of sticks for some long-awaited backcountry action.
The four hour ride only sets you back $79, and if you’ve got little mountain groms under 2, they ride for free. The service will be running from January 8th through March 27th, with Monday returns available on certain holiday weekends. We’ve also just been informed that more seats have been added for MLK weekend. Due to huge demand, a second bus has been added for Friday, January 15th.
With no real need for wheels once in Stratton as all of your aprés needs are just a short stroll away, the Jitney service seems like a no brainer. And you can save your car from those delightful cold weather potholes that seem to breed like rabbits around NY roads during the winter.
For more info head on over to Hampton Jitney’s website, and we will see you on the mountain. Or at least at the bar after.
