The corn was well popped
The Boneyard has seen a lot of events pass through the back door this summer (and a Mickey’s truck. That’s a story for another time). This time, we decided to transform it once again. And what better way to do it than with movies? They’re pretty great. We even have a whole issue dedicated to them coming up later this year. So if you couldn’t tell already, we really like them. This summer, we decided to share the love a bit and put on a Movie Night Series with our great friends over at Shinola. They’re some pretty rad people doing some damn good stuff for the world. We even made a watch with them. You should check that out too. But back to the movies. In our little slice of Montauk/heaven, The Boneyard, the Sea Creatures Movie Night Series took place. With our friends from Purple, we gave out some super comfortable seat cushions to everyone who showed up. Think Zaida might’ve snuck off with one for herself. We’ll let it slide this time. Even gave away a full mattress. That’s worth a lot of bananas.
With a lineup like Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, JAWS, and The Meg, you couldn’t go wrong. Not a bad time to see the sun set with a drink in hand and then get to see a movie. Even better when your ticket proceeds go to helping our ocean through the awesome people over at Surfrider. People seem to like when we do this, so don’t expect us to stop anytime soon. Special thanks to all of our friends who helped make it happen at Outer, Purple, OSEA, Los Sundays, The Pale, SkinnyDipped and Montauk Brew Co.
