2014 year has been a big one for New York surfing. One reason in particular being the production of this surf flick, orchestrated by none other than Montauk resident Tin Ojeda.
Expencive Porno Movie is a product of a fresh yet, individualistic surf culture that Ojeda somewhat personifies through his work. This side of surfing isn’t your WSL (World Surf League) comp recap, but more a product of style and artistic lines, that features waves as close as Ditch Plains, to around the world and back. This film, shot entirely on 16mm film, brings back a notion of the retro, hippy vibe of the single fin days, while incorporating the innovation and creativeness in style of surfings modern generation.
The flick features those in the likes of fellow Montauk resident/pro surfer, Mikey Detemple, along with names such as frequent East End visitor Kassia Meador, as well as Alex Knost, Dane Peterson, Devon Howard, Scotty Stopnik and many more.
