A Big Ole Gov. Ball Bash With JuneShine

Sounding fancier than it is since 2011

There’s a little festival that happens almost every year in NYC called the Governors Ball. Governors all across the world assemble, dressed to the nines, put on their dancing shoes, and let their hair down for a little bit. Well, not really. But that’s a funny visual. Anyway, our friends at JuneShine had the pleasure of attending this year’s Gov Ball and had a little pre-game at the Whalebone on Bleecker shop—complete with a 10-foot inflatable JuneShine can, many drinks, and plenty of Village Square Pizza. Pretty standard stuff.

Locked and loaded with JuneShine Paloma cocktails in hand, DJ William Grand dove in with some toe-tappers to get the feet moving. Dancing ensued, many many intense games of pool were had as the 10-foot-inflatable-JuneShine-can anthropomorphized and then yearned for the next game in the background. Maybe next time 10-foot-inflatable-JuneShine-can, maybe next time.

As the night wound down, proper hydration was provided by Boxed Water and the plants maybe got a couple of splashes for a little late-night snack. Lucky time to be those plants. The 10-foot inflatable JuneShine can converted into an air mattress and someone took all the batteries out of the remotes. Whoever did that, gave us a good laugh but Matt hasn’t been able to watch TV for over a week now. Hope you’re happy.

So, again thank you to everyone that braved the torrential downpour outside and showed up for a nice little evening with our friends from JuneShine, Boxed Water, and Montauk Brewing Company. We couldn’t do it without you. Except for the person that jacked our batteries. We will find you.
