Adding to the list of things you can do on a nice summer evening, we have the Whalebone Magazine x Design Within Reach Summer Series coming soon to a town near you—a town near you if that town is close to San Francisco, Chicago or Costa Mesa, CA. Join us, Taylor Steele and friends for live panel discussions and Q&A’s about the creative process, design and how to build sandcastles. That last part is a lie. There will not be much talk about how to build a sandcastle. But there will be a good session where you can learn from several of the better creative minds in the country about their process what inspires them and listen as they interact with other top minds in their respective fields.

Award-winning filmmaker Taylor Steele has chronicled surf culture for more than two decades, first making his mark in 1992 with the release of the classic MOMENTUM, featuring an up-and-coming crew of professional surfers including Kelly Slater, Rob Machado, Shane Dorian, Taylor Knox, Kalani Robb and more. His work as a director and producer has gone on to cover music, art and conservation, collaborating recently with the likes of Richard Phillips, Daft Punk and National Geographic.
