Think this whole Wine Issue thing could work out
On a sunny evening in Montauk, 20 of our closest friends were treated to some excellent conversation. Not to mention the Rías Baixas Albariño wine. And Vanessa Price, author of Big Macs and Burgundy, taking us on a tour around the north of Spain with a nice cozy set up from Destination Haus. Come to think of it, there were a lot of really great parts. No rain in sight for this one. Only beautiful skies accompanied the cold, refreshing white wines, exquisite charcuterie board by Land Charc Provisions and great company.
Once the sun decided to put on a show for us as it exited stage right, Vanessa and her seemingly endless knowledge of vino put us on a flight to Spain in our minds. From “porch pounders” to the classiest of white wines, the selection of Rías Baixas was impeccable. From our lookout, it seemed as if everyone was thoroughly enjoying the picks, and our ground correspondents confirmed our suspicions.
After some trivia and quizzing on our knowledge of white wine (with the winners taking home some books), our friends left with giant grins on their faces. We’re in the business of making people smile. We get by with a little help from our friends as well. Big thanks to Rías Baixas for an amazing evening. Here’s to many more.
