A New York Solo Art Exhibition

You’ve likely seen quite a few of James Katsipis’ photographs if you spend any time on our Instagram feed. Native to the East End, our buddy James otherwise known as @letstaukgrams captures a lot of moments in time that the regular eye wouldn’t see. Things like waves, wildlife, weather and humans in a captivating perspective. Venturing onto the mainland, James’ photos are being featured in his first solo New York Art Exhibition: The End, at Redu Studios in the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

Capturing Montauk through his lens, James’ exhibition encompasses near-death experiences, drawing inspiration from the ocean and the diverse natural habitat of Long Island’s east-most point.

“Nothing makes you think about your own mortality more than being held underwater by a giant wave for a long period of time.”

– James Katsipis

A lover of surf and exploration, he is constantly immersed in his surroundings expressing the immortal power of nature through his photographs.
