Gloomy Monday || 6/1/15 – Ditch – 8:00 a.m.

June 01, 2015 @ 12:00 AM

It’s a gloomy one out there today, but that doesn’t mean the waves have stopped coming in. There are a few waves coming in towards the jetty at about the waist to stomach high range. Wind was hard out of the N all night then out of the E this morning, and has now let up to a light E wind. Although the winds have made it a little disorganized, there are definitely some decent waves coming in. I would say grab a thicker wetsuit and a longboard or fish and get out there. The rain isn’t too much of a factor considering there is no lightening, plus fun fact* rain helps the waves get cleaner. During a squall or rain storm, the wind usually drops and rain smoothes out some of that unwanted texture. I would say if surfing was on your schedule today then go for it, but definitely don’t stress if you can’t make it out there.
