So if you didn’t get it from the title, Whalebone Magazine is doing a giveaway, you guessed it, on social media.
Now you’re probably wondering what this has to do with the 50 states. Pretty, pretty good news: the mag is available all over the beautiful US of A and so it coincidentally, but not actually coincidentally, happens that the issue that just came out is none other than the The America Issue, celebrating all the good people and things that unite us. So as a result, we wanted to do something nice for our fellow Americans, like get you hooked up with a camper van to tour from sea to shining sea. How do you get entered to win that grand prize from Outdoorsy? Take a picture of the mag in whatever state you are in and slap that bad boy up on social media.
So, here’s what you gotta do:
How to enter
First things first, you have to find yourself a copy of the America Issue. 148 pages of the characters, the inspiration, the helpers, the National Parks, the humor, the fun, the moments that breed good. Not to mention that Betty White is on the cover. You can probably find it in a place near you or you can support the USPS and order it online. Either will do.
After that all you have to do to enter is take a photo of the mag and post it on Instagram. Yes, it can be a story or a hard post to get that question out of the way. But, most importantly, you must geotag your state and tag @whalebonemagazine for your entry to be qualified. This way we know what state you reside in. Which is important too, you’ll see why.

What you get
One winner from each state will be selected randomly to win the State Prize. The State Prize is a Limited-Edition America Issue hoodie and one year Whalebone Magazine subscription. Soft, comfy goodness that you can’t get anywhere else and six issues of the ninth-best magazine in the world straight to your doorstep. All for taking and posting a picture of an inanimate object. 50 of these going out. Not too shabby.
The Grand Prize is what’s really gonna get you taking pictures of your copy of the America Issue like it’s competing to be America’s Next Top Model.
