Whalebone Heads to the City

You may have heard, but just in case you’ve been buried under a rock the past month, we are bringing Whalebone Magazine to the Big Apple, and working our butts off to make it the best issue yet.

We’ve got some pretty dang cool distribution spots and some even cooler partners helping us conquer the city (our lovely friends over at Guest of a Guest and PSFK to name a couple), and we’d love to hear from you if you want to get involved.

If you’d like to partner up for this issue please feel free to download our media kit, subscribe to our newsletter, or drop a line to hello@whalebonemag.com. We’d love to even deliver to your office, complete with beers from Montauk Brew Co. We like making new friends.

As always, there will be a substantial amount of delicious content from our East End brethren, highlighting even more of why we love our side of the island, post-Tumbleweed Tuesday.

Why would we do an NYC issue? Well that’s because the city has had a pretty major impact on our community over the years.  Whether it’s been the restaurants supporting our fishing fleets, to developing the artists and businessmen that eventually decided to call the East End home, NYC has been a part of our community since the beginning.

Most of us have lived there at some point, getting trained on the streets of the town where in the words of Frank Sinatra, “if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere,” and we couldn’t agree more. It’s one of the most influential cities in the world, and the Whalebone Gang wanted to give homage to the people, communities, and stories from NYC that have helped shape us over the years.

Whether it’s the morning train to Rockaway – surfboard in hand, people watching from the benches at Epstein’s, or eating…well anywhere in the city, everyone knows that NYC is a pretty great place to hang your hat, and we are looking forward to showing you our side of it all.
