The (Re)Birth of the Dream Tour

Might be a tad bit late to the party on this but Surfline has a short film to accompany that one really awesome photo feature on the Quiksilver Pro New York and how it helped shape modern pro surfing. It’s wild to think how much research and money it takes to place a “Dream Tour” label on hit-or-miss wave in a place like New York (an $11 million bet), but Surfline’s Sean Collins more-or-less made it all happen single-handedly.

The video runs around the 8-minute mark and features tons of pro and event runner’s perspectives — definitely worth a watch.
