Friendly Little Game of Musical Chairs
Maybe musical chairs is a nice little game you remember from kindergarten or summer camp. At the Whalebone Magazine shindig for the release of The Summer Issue things were a little different. Swap out those sleep away camp environs for Hero Beach Club and the battered benches for some Design Within Reach chairs you might like to have in your kitchen, put DJ William Grand in charge of the music and of course replace seven year olds with full grown adults. To top it off put a Spun Chair from Design Within Reach on the line as the prize for winning and you have the makings of a near bloodsport. We are happy to report there were no serious injuries—though the winner might have gone home with a couple of extra bruises in addition to a new Spun chair.
The rest of the assembled party-goers went home with smiles on their faces thanks to summertime fun from Twisted Tea, Sweet Reason sparkling CBD, Montauk Brew Co., The Palm Rosé, Brew Dr. Kombucha, Tito’s Vodka and Tequila Don Julio. JUST Water kept the musical chairs competitors properly hydrated and Sail Away Coffee on a nitro tap gave the party just enough jolt and kept campers very happy until way past their bedtimes.
