El Nino was the story of the year, it seemed like every ocean in the world was pumping this past winter season. For us in Montauk, we were fortunate in having multiple swell events for what seemed like every week. Other than a two week hiatus while I got married to the love of my life (Kalie Peters) in Tortola, I didn’t miss a swell at home.
Having taken thousands of photos this past winter from in the water and on land, it’s tough narrowing down ones to share in this piece. So, I have decided to select images based on the best performances I got to witness this past winter along with a few of my personal favorites. With the welcoming of spring its time to look back at the winter that was.
