It has been said, Chris Jones, the owner of Sole East and the Montauk Beach House, has his eye on some other properties in Montauk. One in particular also starting with the letter S; the Sail Inn. Although it’s speculated that the Sail Inn is atop of Jones’ next buys in Montauk, he has expressed interest in a number of other properties including the Lido Motel.

Jones has made quite a reputation on the east end for his purchases, renovations and rebranding of some classic Montauk properties. He has done his part to keep up with the changing times out east, if not the one leading the way in that evolution. His contributions to the town in that regard have become a very popular asset to the area and it will be exciting to see what the investor has up his sleeve next!

In speaking with the NY Daily News, about the potential for places like the Sail Inn and the Lido, Jones had this to say.

“People forget these were beautiful places at one point,” said Jones. He continued, “It’s not about changing Montauk, it’s about restoring it to its former glory.”
