Whalebone is looking for a couple of ambitious individuals who are eager to learn, grow, grind and channel their inner-HOVA/Beyoncé in one of our retail spaces. This is a great opportunity for someone who is committed to the hustle, masterfully organized, and creative + passionate about the Whalebone lifestyle.

We have two ways to get involved: either at our flagship store in Montauk, or our retail space in the Gansevoort Market in NYC. Both are full-time positions that require availability on holidays and weekends, from May 1st through November 1st. Preferred candidates can demonstrate managerial skills, close sales, and know how to enjoy a cold one from Montauk Brew Co. every once in a while. Formalities, below.

Responsibilities (Montauk)

  • Deliver an unmatched customer experience
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the Whalebone product
  • Perform duties related to opening and closing of store
  • Maintain store merchandising standards
  • Manage inventory and keep store space looking fresh
  • Assist with wholesale account management
  • Must have living arrangements on the East End for the duration of the job

Responsibilities (NYC)

  • Deliver an unmatched customer experience
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of the Whalebone product
  • Perform duties related to opening and closing up retail space 
  • Manage inventory and keep space looking awesome
  • Weekly sales reports + insight on store traffic
  • Must either live in NYC or be able to commute to the city for the duration for the job

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail 
  • Unbeatable customer service skills
  • Super organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and evenings
  • Inspired and results-driven
  • Valid US driver’s license
